1. Wrathborn Reclamation: A New Seasonal Theme
Season 8’s theme centers on the Wrathborn, corrupted souls bound by vengeance who threaten the very balance of Sanctuary. A mysterious cult has begun raising the dead and invoking twisted powers from beyond the Veil, and it’s up to players to uncover the truth and cleanse the land.
Seasonal Questline: Players will follow a new multi-part storyline featuring Elias, a returning antagonist with new motivations. The questline unfolds over several weeks, integrating into both open-world content and instanced dungeons.
New Seasonal Mechanics – Wrathborn Sigils: Players earn and craft Sigils to summon Wrathborn strongholds in specific zones. These mini-boss events reward high-tier loot, crafting materials, and Wrathborn reputation, unlocking cosmetic and gameplay perks.
2. New Dungeon Events: The Wrathborn Bastions
Five new seasonal dungeons, called Wrathborn Bastions, now appear across the map. Each one contains:
New Elite Variants – tougher, modified enemies with explosive powers and cursed auras.
Timed Objectives – players must destroy Wrathborn altars before they overwhelm the dungeon.
